Old School
(and 'cause it's old, I don't promise that the links ain't broke)

Yo!  MC Hawking

After many years of kickin' it old school for all the fizziks hedz, Stephen Hawking, gangsta rapper, finally gets his props. Yo ! Pour a little radium for the homies who can't be here.

APOLOGETIX

Words fail to capture the sublime genius that is Apologetix. The "Christian Weird Al Yancovic" band rewrites rock tunes with christian lyrics and zero humor. From Van Morrison to Kid Rock. Yep, Kid Rock. But it's their tone deaf version of Bohemian Rhapsody that brings tears to your eyes. That Christian Parody Band (tm) that doesn't understand the meaning of the word parody, they take the Devil's music and turn it into a hell on earth. Be sure to check out the unofficial site to double your fun(k).

The Underground Railroad
Freedom Center

This is an effort to build a museum/education center in Cincinnati to focus on the Underground Railroad - both as an historical topic and as a symbol of interracial cooperation.

 From the mission statement:
At a time when divisiveness among our country's diverse races and cultures often seems to be on the rise, there is an increased need for institutions that can help foster understanding, respect and a spirit of cooperation between people of different races and backgrounds. That's why we are developing a compelling new national museum and education center which will inspire interracial understanding in today's society through the eyes of history, namely through the stories of courage and cooperation among escaping slaves and those who helped them on the Underground Railroad prior to the Civil War.

It's scheduled for completion in 2003, but they already have a very informative website. Visit The Underground Railroad Freedom Center.

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not

This site got it's fifteen minutes when it was featured in theWashington Post  for --  The RADIO.WAV!  This is a clip from  Andy Savage's radio show (when he was on The Edge in Minneapolis/St. Paul). The game is called "He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not" and the basic premise is that they try to test a guy's fidelity by offering to send flowers anywhere he wants (the trick is that his girlfriend is on the line too). Take a listen to what left everyone surprised.

Shout out to Nancy Hwa for sending it to me in the first place.

        Mr. T
I pity the fool who doesn't love Mr. T!  Former Chicago bouncer and bodyguard Laurence Tureaud (and yeah, I just know that) took a lot of gold chains and even more attitude and became the legendary Mr. T.  Now some guys from Idaho (and others) have created a whole bunch of stories about Mr. T versus Stuff, starting with Mr. T versus Superman.  The basic idea is take really bad vidcaps of Mr. T and other TV/movie personalties and make them fight.  The NEW central repository for all things T is the Mr. T vs Everything page (or you can try this Yahoo category page).  My personal favorite -- Mr. T versus Kathie Lee Gifford.
